Education & Advocacy Organizations

Here you can distinguish “advocacy” from “direct service” — none of these ten organizations provide treatment or crisis counseling themselves, but they shape the policies (insurance coverage, anti-discrimination law, school prevention curricula) that determine whether direct services are even accessible. They are the organizations working upstream alongside the more hands-on resources elsewhere on the site that may help you understand why both types of resource matter.
